A word at both ends of every line
Every tube that crosses the rear wall now carries a coloured, lettered chip at the wall, and the same word in the same colour threaded onto the tube itself.

One machine, and its first hour on a bench
Two machine designs ran side by side for eight days and the narrow one survived, and the controller board was powered up for the first time.

A build system, and glass fibre on the plate
The flavor manifold was absorbed into the enclosure shell itself, and the first enclosure panel went on the printer in glass-filled PET.

The board meets the bench
One of the two machine designs was deleted, and the controller board was powered up for the first time with half of it working.
- Two machines The hardware tree was forked into a second, taller and narrower appliance, and the stripped-down Lite edition was deleted.

A build manual, and a quarter-inch line
The whole appliance got a printed bench manual, and the internal water line was rebuilt to one tube size.

The board becomes real
Ten controller boards were ordered and the design behind them retired the next day, and a paste-layer defect was found two days before the assembled boards were paid for.

A box, and water that stays in
The subsystems were packed into a real enclosure and split to fit the printer, and the first printed flavor reservoir held water without weeping.

First metal, and a public face
The fallback vessel design was archived, stainless was tapped and welded by hand for the first time, and the project got a live website and a YouTube channel.
- The whole appliance, and a metal shop to build it The machine's scope grew to making its own cold carbonated water, and roughly $11,700 of fabrication and refrigeration tooling arrived to build it.

The under-sink prototype gained its full software stack, then a production 3D printer turned the project toward a manufacturable appliance.
