A build manual, and a quarter-inch line
The whole appliance got a printed bench manual, and the internal water line was rebuilt to one tube size.
A 94-card printed build manual came into existence — one card per hand operation, covering all twelve subsystems from welding the pressure vessel through burn-in and packing. It ships as 94 rendered pages and a print-ready PDF, with a renderer, a build script, a browser view of the deck, and a check that fails the build if a card's content overflows, spills into another band, or is silently clipped.
The stock to print it on arrived inside the week: 100 sheets of 4×6 gloss on 25 July, with letter-size following. An Epson EcoTank already on hand was entered on the tools ledger with its borderless page sizes and media settings, since it is the machine that produces the deck.
The internal water line was rebuilt to stay at ¼ inch from the backflow preventer to the pump. The flare adapter is now a two-fitting stack stepping straight to ¼ inch, the run is ¼-inch tubing, and the flavor tap is a ¼-inch union tee on the outlet. Three-eighths survives only as two short reinforced-PVC stubs clamped to the pump's own barbs, which are moulded into its head. A master water shutoff was added upstream of the pump, and the topology document now states that this valve is not part of the flavor manifold.
Four purchased plumbing parts moved to the abandoned list with that change: the 3/8-inch flare-to-barb adapter, the tee that was the old flavor tap point, its branch adapter, and 10 ft of 3/8-inch silicone tubing. Two wire products went the same way — a 12-conductor jacketed cable that stiffens when cold, and a 100 ft spool of 24 AWG. Every low-voltage run now comes off one 22 AWG black spool inside braided sleeve.
The enclosure's interior was packed: pump, discharge chain, valve trays, drip pan, hopper, compressor shroud, condenser and cold-core mounts all placed relative to each other. Out of it came a coupon — the full four-piece enclosure reduced to 159 × 140 × 154 mm, keeping every seam, cross-pin ladder, display housing and rear port at full size. Two new printed parts were born beside it: a bridge holding the carbonator's reed sensors vertical, and a ring the cold core stands on.
Measuring the model became something the code does. Five new scripts let any generator ask the assembled solids where a part is, how close two parts come, and whether a candidate fits at a proposed position — with every query required to raise rather than return a quiet zero when it cannot measure.
On 24 July an order went to a water-systems supplier for the flare-to-¼-inch adapter, 10 ft of reinforced clear PVC and stainless hose clamps a size up — the parts the rebuilt water path needs.
